CAEP Ambassador Spotlight: Exchange Visitor Chelou Guigue from the Philippines
Chelou Guigue, a dedicated swine exchange visitor from the Philippines, shares his experiences as an international CAEP agriculture trainee, emphasizing the immense value this training holds for his future career. Whether he decides to manage his own farm or pursue opportunities with commercial companies abroad, Chelou sees this program as a pivotal stepping stone in his professional journey.
“I wanted to join the CAEP program to broaden my horizons, gain international experience, and learn about modern technology in agriculture in the USA.” Training in Indiana, USA Chelou’s daily activities include farrowing, feeding, animal health, and cleaning.
“This training will absolutely help me in the future whether I decide to manage my own farm or when I apply to other commercial companies, a big stepping stone for my career,” Chelou shared. “Hands-on training is very important as it widens your knowledge.”
Through his participation in CAEP, Chelou’s perception of America has evolved. He has witnessed firsthand the remarkable work ethic of American people, who remain tirelessly committed and independent regardless of age. This experience has inspired him and deepened his appreciation for their dedication.
