Who Can Join the CAEP Program?

Age: You must be between 18 and 28 when your program begins. (Note: winery participants must be between 21 and 35 years old.)
Background: Participants should have a background in agriculture, horticulture, winemaking, equine, turf management, or a related field, either through education or work experience (at least five years for those without formal education).
Language: Proficiency in English is required, as you’ll need to communicate and learn about the culture and training program during your stay.
Health: You need to be in good health and able to adapt to living in a new country.

What Are the Program Fees?
Joining the CAEP program is an investment in your future, and while you’ll be paid for your training program, there are some fees to be aware of. Here’s a breakdown:
Program Fee: $1500
CAEP-Endorsed Accident and Illness Insurance: $166 per month (subject to change)
SEVIS Fee: $220 (required by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security)
U.S. Consulate MRV Fee: $160
While these fees are due before you depart, you will earn enough during your internship to cover them.
Do I Need to Have Prior Experience?
Yes, some experience is necessary to qualify for the CAEP program. You need either:
A degree or training in agriculture, horticulture, winemaking, equine studies, or a related field OR
At least five years of full-time work experience in one of these areas.

How Much Will I Be Paid?

Timely Visa Appointments: The U.S. consulate has specific appointment availability, and visa processing can take time. Early application ensures you have a chance to schedule a consulate appointment that fits your timeline.
Paperwork and Processing: While we work quickly to get everything sorted, having extra time allows you to gather the necessary documents and complete the visa paperwork without any rush.
Placement Security: Some placements, especially with top farms and organizations, can be in high demand. Applying early increases your chances of securing your ideal host.
