Meet CAEP Participant Rex Pensona from the Philippines

“I choose the CAEP program for my farm training because I knew it would provide additional knowledge that could help me be more productive in my home country of the Philippines. As the United States uses advanced technologies and techniques and with the help of CAEP program, I knew I could empower the agricultural sector of my country teaching them what I have learned during my time in the USA on the CAEP program. I hope to help farmers believe that they can change their old ways of farming and teach them new.

I  enjoyed when my hosts took us to the lake and out for meals. It’s such a wonderful experience that the farm has given us as they have given us all of the cultural activities we need. The supervisors have also exposed us to all of the various activities of the farm. We have not just learned but have learned by doing.

I really enjoyed American culture and their commitment to agriculture. It is really a good country to live in! Overall, the most amazing part of my CAEP experience in the USA was when I was enrolled in an English class at the local school. It’s been such an awesome learning experience in my life. I love the USA. God Bless America! I’m happy that I took the opportunity to come to the USA with the help of the CAEP program. CAEP is not just a training program, but also a tool of connectivity of ideas and knowledge with different countries!”
